(MEI) — Marianas Eye Institute, a regional leader for exceptional eye care, has recently promoted one of its very own to become the new general manager. Wendielyn Escota started working at MEI in 2011 as an eye care technician and has proven herself to be a leader and mentor to the talented team at MEI.
Wendie comes from a strong hospitality background that shines through every interaction. Escota brings a wealth of knowledge in quality customer service and personal care. As one of a handful of eye care technicians on island who is a certified ophthalmic assistant, Escota has shown the fortitude to handle difficult tasks seeing them through to the end. She also earned her bachelor of arts degree in business management in 2021 while working full-time and raising her family. “I am honored to have this opportunity to make a positive difference for not only our community but also for our wonderful team,” remarked Escota. Escota spends her leisure time with loving husband, Jerry, and their three children: Codie, Jeremiah and Eli.
CEO Russ Quinn stated, “We’ve had our eye on Wendie for some time. She possesses all the necessary skills to raise Marianas Eye Institute to the next level. She positioned herself up the ranks and has developed a firm understanding of both the medical and business aspects of the organization. I am excited for her and our clinic.”
Marianas Eye Institute has served the community for 25 years and is known as a regional leader in eye care, providing total eye care for the family, including express glasses, contact lenses, medical eye care, surgery and laser.
