Empty Vessel Foundation to distribute free food

THE Empty Vessel Ministry Foundation will conduct its food distribution program this Wednesday, July 28, at the Kilili Pavilion in Oleai.

From 10 a.m. to 12 noon, the non-profit organization will distribute food to the first 200 ticket holders.

Tickets may be picked up at the EVM office in Gualo Rai on Monday, July 26 at 1 p.m.

The event is part of the EVM’s ongoing charitable work to assist families in need in the Commonwealth.

EVM is funded by the Emergency Food and Shelter Program, a federally funded program administered by the Federal Emergency Management Agency.

The 501(c)(3) non-profit organization was founded in 2005 by Dr. Joel and Rose Smith to cater to the needs of vulnerable widows and children and help them realize their full potential, while also sharing the Gospel.

EVM also operates in Kenya and the Philippines, with a vision to help eradicate poverty throughout the world.

It is focused especially on women, as they are the major contributors to the advancement of the entire family.
