ACTING Gov. Arnold I. Palacios has signed into law House Local Bill 22-2 to appropriate $60,000 in poker license fee collections for the medical subsistence allowance of Rota’s hemodialysis and terminally ill patients, and H.B. 22-6, which appropriates $21,272 for the inter-island medical referral stipend of Rota patients and their escorts.
H.L.B. 22-2 is now Rota Local Law 22-2 while H.L.B. 22-6 is now R.L.L. 22-3.
Both were introduced by Rep. Donald Manglona.
In an interview, he said he is thankful to the acting governor “for his expeditious review and approval of the three local appropriations for the First Senatorial District.”
The chairman of the House Ways and Means Committee, Manglona also thanked the three other members of the Rota Legislative Delegation for their support in passing the local bills.
“We will continue working toward ensuring the continued administration of these programs,” said Manglona who co-chairs the Rota delegation with Sen. Teresita Santos.
Its other members are Sens. Paul A. Manglona and Victor B. Hocog.
