PANDEMIC Electronic Benefits Transfer, or P-EBT, benefits were distributed for the first time Tuesday, Aug. 10, and will continue through Tuesday, Aug. 17.
Scheduled to receive these benefits are 5,314 families on Saipan, 282 families on Tinian and 236 families on Rota.
On Saipan, the P-EBT benefits are issued via drive-thru at the Nutrition Assistance Program office in As Lito from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.
Benefits will be issued based on the last name of the head of household who was listed as the parent or legal guardian on their children’s school record.
The individual who signed the P-EBT application should pick up the benefit at the NAP office in As Lito.
The NAP office was provided one parent name or legal guardian name for each student, and the Public School System-Child Nutrition Program validated the names of the parents or legal guardians in the P-EBT applications provided to the NAP office.
Benefits will be issued according to the first letter of the head of household’s last name based on the following schedule:
• Tuesday, Aug. 10 – Letters A to B
• Wednesday, Aug. 11 – Letters C to D
• Thursday, Aug. 12 – Letters E to K
• Friday, Aug. 13 – Letters L to N
• Saturday, Aug. 14 – Letters O to R
• Sunday, Aug. 15 – Letters S to T
• Monday, Aug. 16 – Letters U to Z
• Tuesday, Aug. 17 – Open Day
“Open Day” is the designated date for households that were unable to pick up their benefits based on their scheduled date.
Households are advised to follow the schedule accordingly. They are required to provide a valid photo identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, municipal ID, U.S. permanent resident card, etc.
The identity of the parent or legal guardian will be verified.
To ensure a smooth process, households will be required to follow the traffic flow for the drive-thru procedure.
The distribution schedule for Tinian and Rota is facilitated by the Department of Community and Cultural Affairs offices on these two islands.
