HONOLULU (BoH) — Bank of Hawai‘i has been named one of America’s Best Midsize Companies of 2025 by TIME. The bank is one of two Hawai‘i-based companies — alongside Hawaiian Airlines — to be included among the top 500 companies nationwide on TIME’s second-annual list.
The ranking recognizes 500 top-performing U.S. companies with revenues between $100 million and $10 billion that demonstrate excellence and strong performance in employee satisfaction, sustainability transparency, and revenue growth.
TIME partnered with Statista, a leading data and research firm, to evaluate companies across three key categories:
• Employee Satisfaction. Based on a survey of more than 217,000 U.S. employees, assessing workplace image, atmosphere, working conditions, compensation, and equality.
• Sustainability Transparency. Measured through Environmental, Social, and Governance indicators, including environmental impact, social responsibility, and corporate governance.
• Revenue Growth. Evaluated using financial performance data from the past three years.
