McDonald’s Guam and Saipan congratulates local managers on graduating from Hamburger University in Chicago

(Special Advertising Feature) — McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan proudly announces that two of its department managers, Aaron Palaming and Angelica Darlucio, had been selected to attend Hamburger University in Chicago.

Palaming, who has served 20 years at McDonald’s Yigo, Guam, and Darlucio, a 15-year veteran of McDonald’s Middle Road, Saipan, were selected for an all-expense-paid trip to McDonald’s Hamburger University in Chicago. They were chosen in recognition of their exceptional leadership, consistent operational excellence, and strong potential for continued growth within the company. This opportunity will further develop their capabilities, allowing them to inspire their teams and contribute to the long-term success of our restaurants. Currently, McDonald’s Guam and Saipan has now sent a total of 13 employees to Hamburger University in Chicago, including Vice President Joe Ayuyu Jr.

From June 23 to 26, the two leaders took part in a General Manager Capstone course, a leadership development program designed to strengthen management skills and enhance restaurant performance across the McDonald’s system.

“McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan is proud to recognize Aaron and Angelica for this achievement,” says Joe Ayuyu Jr., vice president and owner/operator of McDonald’s Guam and Saipan. “Their leadership and hard work set a strong example for others, and their growth reflects the company’s commitment to developing future leaders across our restaurants.”

When asked about their experience in participating in this course, Aaron Palaming said, “It taught me the importance of thinking outside the box and seeing the bigger picture when it comes to decision-making. One of the most valuable lessons I learned was the need to step into multiple perspectives in order to lead and manage a team more effectively.”

Angelica Darlucio said, “This experience gave me a deeper understanding that leadership is a journey of constant learning, humility, and growth. I’m truly grateful for the trust and support invested in my development, and I’m proud to be part of a team that values and empowers its people.”

In addition, Aaron Palaming won the Hospitality Award which, which recognizes individuals who exemplify outstanding guest service and hospitality.

McDonald’s of Guam and Saipan congratulates Palaming and Darlucio on this remarkable accomplishment and looks forward to the continued positive impact of their leadership across the islands’ restaurants.
