JESSE Ramon was named the Marianas Golf Association’s July Ace of the Month on Sunday at Laolao Bay Golf & Resort with a net score of 64.

Joshua Atalig notched the same net score but he had already secured the May title and so Ramon was named the July Ace.
It was Atalig, however, who received the top cash prize, $275, while Ramon took home $150.
Atalig shot well as he cleared the front nine with an efficient swing, scoring a gross of 42. The back nine was where he shined brighter as he improved his strokes, obtaining a gross score of 40 for a total gross score of 82. Sporting a handicap of 18, his net score was 64.
For his part, Jesse Ramon shot a gross of 44 on the front nine and refined his skills to score 41 on the back for a total gross of 85. Thanks to a handicap of 21, his net score was 64.
Nate Camacho, who received the $100 third prize, shot a low gross of 38 on the front nine and 37 on the back for a total gross of 75. With a handicap of 10, his net score was 65.
For the side events, Joe “Kamikaze” Camacho bagged the Closest to the Pin Award for hole #3; Bill Camacho, hole #7; Mel Sablan, hole #13; and Nate Camacho, hole #17. Each went home with $190.
