DAVE “The Mayor” Celis and Henry “Hankey” Camacho Jr. are leading their respective divisions thanks to their stellar performances in round 6 of the Marianas Racing Association Points Race Series on Sunday, June 27, at CowTown Raceway Park.
In the veterans class, Dave Celis has a grand total of 285 points. In round 6, he went full-throttle to earn his third straight 50-point finish. Celis stayed in control throughout both heats, landing jumps with perfection to keep the momentum rolling.
In second place was Cuki Alvarez who has been right behind Celis throughout the entire series.
By earning 44 points in round 6, Alvarez now has a total of 264 points or 21 points behind Celis with one more round to go.
Third overall is Melvin Cepeda. Although Cepeda finished fourth in round 6, he earned 36 points which gave him a total score of 238 points.
Novice class
In the novice class, Henry Camacho Jr. is still in the lead with 254 total points, but Corry Pangelinan, with 243 points, is not far behind.
Round 6 was a tight battle between the two.
Heat 1 was claimed by Camacho but Heat 2 was the decider and it was won by Pangelinan. Both riders obtained 47 points in round 6.
Third overall is Kier Agda who earned 30 points in round 6 and now has a total of 211 points.
Expert division
Cuki Alvarez, second overall in the veteran class, leads the expert division with a total score of 264.
His flawless performance in round 6 earned him a perfect 50-point first place finish.
His son Alverick Alvarez is second overall with 233 points while Franklin Santos is third with 216 points.
