(Department of Fire and Emergency Medical Services) — On Monday, May 10, 2021 at approximately 9:52 p.m., a male individual called 911 to report a fire at a Flame Tree apartment unit in Sadog Tasi.
At 9:55 p.m., Engine-2, Medic-5, and Rescue-1 responded to the location.
At 10 p.m., Engine-2 was the first to arrive on scene and confirmed it was a structure fire.
At 10:12 p.m. a two-man team entered a structure to locate and attack the origin of the fire.
At 10:17 p.m., Charlie Company commander Lt. John C. Camacho said the fire was under control. At 10:30 p.m., the fire was fully extinguished.
DFEMS-Division of Fire Prevention and Arson Investigation, which was led by Firefighter III Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero, stated that the structure was a three-bedroom, fully concrete home with one occupant.
The individual was not harmed during the time of the fire, and did not request to be seen by the medics on scene. One bedroom within the structure, on the east side, sustained severe to moderate smoke and heat damage. The entire home had minor smoke damage throughout the interior.
Firefighter III Lorenzo Deleon Guerrero said the fire “is still under investigation and more information will be given out accordingly.”
