BANK of Saipan president and chief executive officer John Z. Arroyo on Monday said within the next 60 days or so, the bank will launch the next episode of “Dollars & Sense,” an animated series on financial literacy.
On Monday, Bank of Saipan opened its new headquarters in Chalan Laulau on Beach Road.

The first episode was launched in March, and it catered not only to school-age children, but to adults as well.
“Dollars & Sense” depicts a conversation between young cousins and their grandmother about earning, spending, saving, borrowing, counting and budgeting money.
The animated series aims to fill “the need for practical knowledge that is often taken for granted: money management.”
Arroyo said there will be more episodes on earning, spending, saving and paying for obligations, as it is the bank’s goal to help enhance the financial well-being of CNMI residents.
Whether you are a young child learning the value of money for the first time, a college student learning about how to earn and manage money, or an adult learning how to budget, the animated series intends to teach everyone how to use money responsibly.
“Those lessons will be taught,” Arroyo said.
The development of the series began a year ago, shortly after the Covid-19 restrictions shut down the island.
The videos can be watched on the Bank of Saipan’s YouTube channel: “Dollars & Sense, Episode I” https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6p5aKdWB8Q.
Bank of Saipan opened its new corporate headquarters in Chalan Laulau on Monday while rebranding itself to enhance the banking experience of longtime customers, as well as to attract new customers, including millennials and the younger generation.
The bank is open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Monday to Thursday; 9 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday; and 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday.
