The Public School System’s Special Education Program led by Director Donna M. Flores held an end-of-school-year professional development on Wednesday at the Pacific Islands Club facilitated by June De Leon of Guam’s Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service. The professional development session was a large gathering of school district personnel: 175 special education staff, bus drivers, bus conductors, classroom teachers, teacher aides, related service staff and administrators from Saipan, Tinian and Rota. The training focused on increasing school and staff morale and promoting a proactive school culture. The event closed with a self-care painting activity conducted by instructor Linda Torres.
