(Press Release) — MANGO is conducting a workshop, “Nonprofit Toolkit: How to Start a Nonprofit,” on Friday, May 28, 2021, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the MANGO Resource Center and via Zoom.
The workshop will teach you all the steps needed to effectively start and register a nonprofit organization with the federal government and in the CNMI.

This workshop is geared toward:
• individuals thinking of starting a nonprofit;
• new or recently started organizations; or
• organizations wanting a fresh start.
The six-hour training will cover:
• the basic steps to forming the nonprofit, how to write vision and mission statements, articles of incorporation, and bylaws;
• examples and templates of the documents needed in order to obtain 501(c)(3) designation from the CNMI Division of Revenue and Taxation and Internal Revenue Service;
• board of directors responsibilities, standing committees, and training for board members; and lastly
• an overview of strategic planning, managing the nonprofit, financial management, partnerships and project development.
