THE Matansa Football Club and the Paire Football Club 1 were victorious against their respective opponents Sunday in the Dove Women’s League Spring 2021 Masters Division at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
The Matansa players displayed their offensive capabilities as they silenced the Kanoa Football Club, 5-0.
As soon as the ball dropped, the MFC players went for the kill and were rewarded as Bunruang Brasuell connected the shot in the very first minute of the game.
She then completed a hat-trick with two more consecutive goals at the 5th and 23rd minute marks to extend her team’s lead, 3-0.
The Kanoa players did stop Brasuell’s assault later in the second half but were still left with no answer on their end due to MFC’s never-ending pressure.
Even with Brasuell out of action, her teammates were ready to take her place as Wasana Gregory joined the scoreboard at the 33rd minute mark, and Chirapan McGuire found the back of the net at the 42nd minute mark to add the icing on the cake as MFC shut down Kanoa 5-0.

The Paire FC 1 players remain at the top of the standings after collecting their sixth victory in their match against the TanHoldings Football Club, 4-1.
TanHoldings seemed to have a strong start as its players were the first to draw blood at the 16th minute mark, thanks to Tomoko Bogdan.
However, their offense shut down after Paire FC 1 equalized with Elizabeth Culp firing a shot at the 20th minute mark before moving into halfitme.
The second half favored Paire FC 1’s as its players powered through the remaining minutes with three more goals while THFC failed to open shot opportunities and remained scoreless.
Starting at the 30th minute mark, Lindsay Davis heated up with her first goal which she followed with another 16 minutes later while team-mate Natalie Hill-Beyer squeezed in the final goal at the 49th minute mark to seal the deal for a 4-1 Paire FC 1 victory over THFC.
