AGAPE Christian School not only shined in the individual runs of the U18 boys and girls divisions, but it outshined the competition as a team as well in the 2020-2021 Public School System-McDonald’s All School Athletics Championship on Saturday at the Oleai Sports Complex.
In the U18 girls division, ACS led the pack with 116 points beating Marianas High School (89), Saipan International School (54), Grace Christian Academy (32), Saipan Southern High School (32), Kagman High School (32), Mount Carmel School (20), and Tinian High School (15).
SIS’ Tiana Cabrera was named the Most Valuable Player for contributing a total of 48 points.
In the U18 boys division, ACS was way ahead of the competition, earning a whopping 155 points. KHS was second with 59 points followed by MHS (55), Tinian (54), SIS (46), MCS (29), SSHS (3) and GCA (0).
Eason Tang was named the MVP as he handed ACS 54 points.
In the middle school category, Dandan Middle School and GCA were triumphant.
The top spot in the U14 girls was claimed by DMS with 93 points while GCA (77) took second place. SIS (75) was third followed by Mount Carmel School (74), ACS (51), Tanapag Middle School (20), Chacha Middle School (18) and Saipan Community School (1).
MCS placed third thanks to the outstanding work of Andrei Kaithlyn Chavez who carried the team with 70 points.
In the U14 boys division, GCA took the top spot with a total of 98 points beating DMS (83), ACS (48), Tinian (38), Chacha (34), SIS (34), MCS (28), Tanapag (22) and SCS (14).
GCA’s Jasper Hall was MVP for racking up 44 points.
As for the elementary category, SIS’ Beatrice Gross earned the MVP title in the U9 girls division with 54 points while fellow SIS student Jude Rayphand was named the boys MVP for also earning 54 points.
In the U12 age group, Tinian’s Ysabella Lenteja was the MVP with 54 points while Brilliant Star’s Moshe Sikkel and Aiden Camacho shared the MVP title in the boys division with 70 points each.
