(Press Release) — The Saipan Fil-American Lions Club and Saipan Mighty Dolphins Leo Club donated right trash bins to Marianas High School last March 9, 2021.
MHS principal Jonathan Aguon and vice principal Romolo Orsini, expressed their gratitude to the clubs.
Aguon, said the trash bin donations were very timely because the school was conducting face-to-face classed and trash was becoming a challenge.
Orsini said MHS will be cleaner and more beautiful thanks to the generous donation of the Lions and Leos.
He also noted that it was the second time that clubs made a donation to MHS and why the school is truly grateful.
The school presented a certificate of appreciation during the turnover of the trash bins. Receiving it were Saipan Fil-American Lions Club president Eden Mercado, first vice president Socorro Huliganga, club secretary Mario Mayuga, club service chairperson Marilyn Quebral, members Leonila Mendoza, Jean Pumatong, Zaldy Quebral, and Leos Angel Nabaunag and Bea Mendoza.
Mercado, for her part, said she was so grateful to her fellow Lions who helped prepare the trash bins, and for making the donation possible. The goal is to help keep Saipan’s largest school clean and beautiful, she added.
