(NMIVA) — The Northern Mariana Islands Volleyball Association is hosting a coaching development opportunity this Friday, April 16, from 7:15 p.m. to 9:15 p.m. at Agape Gym on Middle Road.
Coach Mike Rabago from Guam will be the lead educator for this event as the first step in a multi-phase coaching development plan.
Coach Mike is the Guam National indoor volleyball men’s and women’s head coach. He is an FIVB or International Volleyball Federation Level III certified coach and an Oceania sports education master educator. He was also an honor graduate of the U.S. Olympic Committee’s International Coaching Enrichment Certification Program.
Coach Mike will be running a practice/training session with the former men’s national team to showcase coaching tools and techniques. Many of the topics he will be touching on can be implemented at the middle school and high school levels. And if coaches would like, they can participate in the actual drills as well.
Whether you’re a new or seasoned coach, this is a great opportunity to get some training enrichment and development. This event is open to all coaches and interested individuals who would like to coach.
