The program is 100% online and is designed to meet the needs of the busy working professional.

According to the graduate school, students in the program would complete 10 three credit hour courses taught by highly qualified faculty that cares about student success and engagement.

The courses offered are focused on business research methods, organizational behavior, management information systems, marketing, operations management, international business, managerial finance, managerial accounting, managerial economics, and strategic decision making.

Upon completion of the program, candidates will be able to effectively manage systems and operations and steward resources within for-profit and nonprofit organizations for the benefit of owners, donors, and stakeholders.

They will also acquire essential skills for working in different business environments, such as for-profit and nonprofit organizations, as well as governmental and international nongovernmental entities.

Candidates will also be able to use best practices in the core disciplines of business, economics, and organizational development, especially as applied within a cross-cultural and international context.

Moreover, they will formulate a personal philosophy of effective and ethical business and leadership practices and strategies, well-grounded in a biblical worldview.

With each online course running for six weeks and offered back-to-back, students will be able to access their courses at any time and any place with internet connection.

With no residency requirements and no international visa requirements for the program, it provides an opportunity for candidates to network with students from around the world.

Students will achieve higher skills and knowledge for personal and professional growth, said school president Dr. Christian Wei in an interview with Variety on Friday.

He said that completion of the program would cost candidates a fraction of what they would pay for a similar program elsewhere.

Asked how this program would benefit the local community, Dr. Wei said that the intent of the program is to produce leaders, not just in the business community, but in any field.

He said that regardless of what a person majored in his or her undergraduate years, he or she can avail of the program and use his or her MBA in any field.

Dr. Wei shared that the program has been in the works for five years now, and was initially designed to be taught in person.

However, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, plans were altered to move the program completely online.

After a program director search, the school hired former Northern Marianas College President Dr. Carmen Fernandez for the position.

Each course can accommodate up to 25 students, but eventually, the program will offer multiple classes per course.

Dr. Wei said one of the good things about the program is that the school does not need to wait 15 months to produce a new batch of graduates; it can produce a new batch of students every six weeks.

“Our purpose is to benefit our islands, to become the center of higher education,” said Dr. Wei, hinting that a doctorate program is also in the works.

The school president shared that the vision of the school is to establish a university with thousands of domestic and international students enrolled in various disciplines.

He said that this could do wonders for the local economy, including further promotion of the CNMI to international markets, more consumers spending locally, as well as producing more laborers and leaders for the local workforce.

Eucon International University is federally accredited by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools and offers English-language elementary and secondary education.

The college is licensed to operate on Saipan as a postsecondary, degree-granting educational institution by the CNMI Board of Regents.
