SUPERIOR Court Associate Judge Joseph N. Camacho has denied the request of firefighter Peter Litulumar to be released to his sister as third-party custodian.
The judge, who imposed a $20,000 cash bail, noted that a young female minor resides in the house of the defendant’s sister.
Represented by Assistant Public Defender Jean P. Nogues, Litulumar was accused by another firefighter of touching her inappropriately as she was taking a nap at the former Mariana Resort where they were posted as part of the Covid-19 Task Force.
Litulumar was charged with sexual assault in the second degree.
Today, April 16, he is scheduled to appear before Judge Camacho for a preliminary hearing in Superior Court at 10 a.m.
Assistant Attorney General Coleen St. Clair is prosecuting the case.
