EZEKIEL Camacho and Jonoah Santos are still in charge of their respective classes in the Marianas Racing Association 2021 Points Race Series after flawless performances in the round 2 event Sunday at the Cow Town Raceway Park.
In the Peewee 1 class, Ezekiel Camacho claimed both heats with ease. From start to finish, he was in total control as he throttled his way to a safe distance, besting 12 other riders to be the first to cross the finish line in heats 1 and 2 which gave him a total of 50 points — 25 points per heat.
Combined with his score of 47 in round 1, Camacho is in overall first place with a total of 97 points.
Taking second place in round 2 was Conan Iakopo who finished second in both heats. He received 22 points for each heat for a total of 44 points.
Unfortunately, Iakopo did not participate in round 1 so overall he is in ninth place.
Zane Fujihira is in overall second place after his third place finish on Sunday.
Fujihira struggled in heat 1, finishing fourth to obtain 18 points. However, in heat 2, he came in third for 20 points which gave him a total of 38 points, good enough for third place.
Because he earned 47 points in round 1, he now has 85 points total, and is second overall.
In third overall is Kassidy Villagomez. She finished seventh on Sunday with 29 points, but her round 1 output of 40 points gave her a total of 69 points.
Perfect record
In the Peewee 2 class, Jonoah Santos is yet to show any weakness as he continues to hold a perfect record, finishing first in rounds 1 and 2, each worth 50 points. He is the overall leader with 100 points.
But Keenon Togawa is still putting up a fight as he ended round 2 in second place by scoring 20 points in heat 1 and 22 in heat 2 for a total of 42 points. Added to the 44 points he obtained in round 1, he is in overall second place with 86 points.
Third place overall is Calix Cruz. Although she did not participate in round 1, she made her presence known on Sunday by finishing second in heat 1 for 22 points and third in heat 2 for 20 points and a total of 42 points.
