THE TanHoldings and Paire football clubs remain unscathed in Division A of the Men’s M-League Spring 2021 after bagging their third consecutive win Sunday at the NMI Soccer Training Center.
TanHoldings’ speed was simply too much to handle as they outscored The One Football Club, 8-1.
TanHoldings pushed The One deep into its territory with constant pressure, causing The One to commit the error of scoring in its own goal.
TanHoldings continued with the offensive and was rewarded with a goal just two minutes later by Mareko Tekopua.
Tekopua then scored the second goal of the day just three minutes later to give his team a 3-0 advantage.
The One players struggled to keep TanHoldings off their backs but still played at their own pace with slow but precision passes to cook up an attack plan.
Slowly but surely, they eventually sliced their way through the teeth of the defense and found Ri Cheng Xian for the finish to cut TanHoldings’ lead, 1-3.
As the game transitioned into the second half, fatigue started to show among The One’s players.
TanHoldings’ Mark Esalan started the run with two goals in a row at the 55th and 66th minute marks.
Ronnel Ocanada and Michiteru Mita joined Esalan on the scoreboard en route to a TanHoldings victory, 8-1.
Kanoa vs. Old B Bank
The Kanoa Football Club also joined the winner’s circle after defeating Old B Bank, 4-0.
Kanoa’s John Guiller Canape took over the first half, scoring two goals at the 9th and 19th minute marks while Ruselle Zapanta and Christian Bravo delivered two more goals at the 52nd and 77th minute marks.
In the battle of siblings, The U18 National Teams A and B locked fists but neither was able to score and their match ended in a 0-0 draw.
The Paire Football Club had the easiest game of the day when its opponent, the MP United Football Club, forfeited the match.
