Community volunteers dispose of 4 trailer loads full of trash

COMMUNITY volunteers Max Aguon and Akiki Alexander said they collected and disposed of four trailer loads full of trash over the three-day weekend.

Aguon said they disposed of a total of 3,180 pounds of trash at the transfer station in Lower Base.

He said he and Alexander collected trash from the public and beach areas from Koblerville to San Roque.

Aguon commended beachgoers for disposing of their trash properly.

“People are tying their trash bags before putting them in the trash bins. And they continue to put their trash in the right place,” he added.

Aguon is hoping that more community members will comply with the anti-littering law by disposing of their trash properly.

He also thanked his sponsors DPA Car Mart  and CMG Mobil Gas Station in San Jose for supporting his island cleanup activities.
