The House of Representatives honors Gloria Cruz Cavanagh with House Resolution 24-10.

(Office of Rep. Julie Ogo) — The 24th CNMI House of Representatives proudly honored former Marianas Visitors Authority Board Chair Gloria Cruz Cavanagh with the presentation of House Resolution 24-10 on June 26, 2025, during a special session in the House chamber on Capital Hill.
The resolution was introduced by Rep. Julie Ogo, chairwoman of the House Committee on Tourism and the Committee of the Whole, in recognition of Cavanagh’s outstanding leadership, service, and significant contributions to the hospitality and business industries in the CNMI.
Cavanagh was joined by a number of special guests, including several representatives from the 3rd Senatorial District, as well as close friends, colleagues, and community members who came together to celebrate her legacy.
“Today, we recognize a woman whose vision, integrity, and dedication have shaped the landscape of our local tourism and hospitality industry,” said Representative Ogo. “Gloria Cruz Cavanagh has not only led with excellence but has inspired countless others along the way. Her contributions continue to uplift our community and strengthen our economy.”
House Resolution 24-10 highlights Cavanagh’s decades-long career in the tourism industry and her commitment to building local capacity, fostering professional growth, and promoting the Marianas as a premier destination.
