PSS inaugurates new JROTC building

Formerly located on the Marianas High School campus, the Junior Reserve Officers Training Corps Multiple School Unit is now on Capital Hill.

Nestled between two Public School System buildings along Pohnpei Way, the one-story facility  houses all JROTC logistics and supplies and serves  as the office for the director of army instruction,  Gay, and the military property specialist, retired SFC Cel Damian.

Damian said he is grateful for the new building.

The facility is where the CNMI brigade receives all its needed supplies for inspection, training and encampment, said Damian.

“It is important to have a building that allows us to perform our daily activities in a safe environment,” Sablan said in her statement.

The ceremonial ribbon was also cut for five other facilities: the CIP building, the media & print production building, the Head Start building, the special education program building and the pupil transportation building.

All the six structures are government facilities that are no longer used. The government has allowed PSS to use them.
