Beautify CNMI is a cooperative campaign organized by a loose coalition of concerned citizens, private groups and government entities, all united to enhance the CNMI’s natural beauty and foster community pride in its residents and visitors.
Marianas RC&D helps improve community development, land management, land conservation and water management.
The whole idea behind the agreement is to provide government agencies, non-profit and private organizations a way to receive help in solving natural resource issues.
MRC&D coordinator Mark Defley said “the resource and conservation, or RC&D, program fosters locally driven projects. It’s a grassroots organization. However, the program is not a competitive program. RC&D is there to fill in the gaps where it’s needed.”
There are no requirements to complete in order to receive assistance.
All partners of Beautify CNMI can benefit from the RC&D program through the proposed memorandum of understanding.
However, even if an organization is not affiliated with Beautify CNMI, it can still apply for financial assistance from the RC&D.
