Mir “Panna” M. Rahman, who has been running his mobile phone outlet in Chalan Kanoa for over a year now, said keeping abreast with the latest developments is their edge.
“As soon as any mobile phone company comes up with something new, we are among the first ones to know,” Rahman said.
Phone Store offers mobile phones of various brands and models.
Rahman and his staff want to make sure they are always one step ahead of other mobile phone companies on island.
Right now, Phone Store’s front liners are up-to-date products of the leading mobile phone companies. These are still not available at other phone stores on Saipan. Rahman said their prices are affordable, ranging from $250 to $475.
Their latest models of mobile phones include the Motorolla Droid-X, $475; the Motorolla Droid-2, $399; the Galaxy-S, $399; and the LG Ally, $250.
These are the latest gadgets available in the U.S, Rahman said.
Phone Store also has the latest BlackBerry models: Storm 2 and Curve 36.
Rahman said they will soon have BlackBerry Torch, Samsung’s Galaxy S 1-900, Motorola Droid Pro-Global and
Motorola Droid-2 Global.
With Phone Store just a short drive away from anywhere on Saipan, the technology-conscious people on island no longer have to travel to the U.S. or Guam or order online.
Rahman said a mobile phone has now become a necessity and a very important part of every individual’s life. For some, getting the latest model has also become very important. It’s part of an individual’s character, Rahman said.
