In its latest report, the CNMI Department of Commerce‘s Central Statistics Division stated that the public can start getting access to the data reports starting in the summer of 2011.
The population estimates by local district level of geography are the first to be released in the summer next year in paper format. The second data product which will be released in the spring of 2012 is the demographic profile by places or villages.
It will be available in paper and DVD formats, and can also be accessed online.
Commerce said the detailed cross tabulation report by places or village level geography will be released in the early part of 2013, available in paper and online.
The report on the CNMI’s social, economic and housing characteristics by places or village level geography will be the final product that will be released after the detailed cross tabulation is released.
Central Statistics Office Director Ivan Blanco said the governor’s office through Commerce completed the 2010 Census ahead of time.
The CNMI Census data had not been included in the initial release of data which the U.S. Census Bureau announced and delivered to President Obama 10 days before the Dec. 31 deadline.
Gov. Benigno R. Fitial, in a media release, stated the new census data will bring much awaited and needed information.
