Aviation class now part of MHS curriculum

It’s the first aviation class offered to CNMI secondary school students.

“I had to submit a proposal to the principal [Craig Garrison] and I was really grateful that he approved it,” Raulerson said.

He said the class will be conducted on a semester by semester basis.

“Although the class is vocational and not required, it does add to the credits you earn to graduate,” Rauleson told Variety.

Students who are interested in taking the class will receive a certificate by the end of the course.

Three full semesters are considered as one full course. Therefore, each student must complete three consecutive semesters before they can obtain a certificate.

The class will officially start in February.
