In this regard, the CNMI Judicial Council recently adopted measures to implement austerity days for work hours of its personnel as well as hours of operation.
Court house business hours on the three islands will change as follows:
• Saipan – Partial closure on Friday Nov. 12, 2010, and every other Friday thereafter.
Effective Jan. 1, 2011, operation will be partially closed every Friday. Only essential services will be provided and minimal staff will be designated to address docket requirements on austerity Fridays.
• Rota & Tinian — Closed on Monday, Nov. 8, 2010 and every other Monday thereafter until December 31, 2010.
Effective Jan. 1, 2011 operation will be closed every Monday.
