All games in the two-day event consisted of three-minute halves. Teams in the 12-and-under division played in a double elimination format, while those in the 16U category played a double-round robin format.
With a twice to beat advantage, the Darag family defeated team Lakers 10-6 in game two of the 12U finals. John Darag scored two points in the first half, and made four more in the second. Rey and Sam Darag followed with two shots apiece.
Kristian Itaas’ father, Leo, piled six points for the Lakers. Joining them was Prince Factor. Despite losing, they edged the Darag family 11-6 in game one. Leo Itaas used his free throws against the Darags, making four points.
The tournament welcomed 14 teams – nine in 12U and five in 16U. Facing the Puti Yus were teams Lemat Boys, Falcons, New Boys, and King Car.
