The game immediately favored the Ferreras in the first quarter, as Luis Abuel smoothly shot past IT&E’s center Marlon De Dios.
De Dios answered Abuel’s jumper with a three-pointer, followed by lay up. Ehroll Peredo kept his team’s offense intact, pulling Joy Dayrit and Rommel Usi into the court.
At the same time, Ferrera’s James Abuy came in to help Kae Bernardo at the rebounds. Abuel’s 14 points was a big help for the team, who led 55-36 in the first half.
The IT&E’s had to make or break in the third quarter, as they kept their best shooters on the court. Ivan De Vero joined Peredo in the offense, shooting 11 points. Despite making no points, Jomar Tumaquip launched a couple strong passes to De Dios, who fired a shot past Bernardo.
The Ferreras remained ahead in the last minutes, with Abuel top scoring the match with 35 points. Bernardo and Ponce Rasa finished strong as well with 17 and 15 points, respectively.
