Letter to the Editor: Mr. Rabby Syed

I am sure that with the proper training and patience on the part of employers in the private sector our local residents can at no COST take over those jobs a majority of you now occupy. Remember that at one point in time you admitted that our local Immigration control then was CORRUPTED and you knew that some foreign guest workers manipulated and took advantage of a broken corrupted immigration system for which some have gained pathway to the UNITED STATES by way of Scam Marriages.

Speaking of Scam Marriages, can you publicly explain how or who was responsible for the human smuggling of foreigners to work as Security Guards in the CNMI, which is  U.S. soil, and were promised the AMERICAN DREAM? Today you continue to challenge the U.S. government’s immigration policies and urging the feds to change the federalization law, which a majority of you hailed as a “victory.” I say, what goes around comes around to haunt you.

What our Washington delegate should be concentrating on is the immediate production of the INVESTOR criteria for without investors the CNMI cannot move in the right direction and solve our economic woes. Some of our elected leaders have once again seriously made our islands a laughing stock in the halls of the U.S. Congress with their MARIJUANA bills. The federal government has infused millions and millions of U.S. dollars funding the WAR on drugs throughout the United States to include the CNMI and this is what our leaders came up with as an economic revenue generating bill? It’s the same scenario with border control: manipulate and now fight the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT.

GOOD LUCK with this one Mr. Syed.
