Letter to the Editor: Wake up leaders!

How can they say everything is so rosy pinky dory when hunger is on the rebound? Do they really think they can really fool the struggling and the suffering people who are trying to put food on the table? It’s a disgrace they speak for themselves and not speak for the poor. These leaders are fooling themselves with their rhetoric and blind point of view. They really think we are blind and we cannot hear and we cannot tell the real life reality we’re all facing daily. But the real reason is they are rich. They have the authority to abuse their power and lie to our people because they have money to talk the talk but cannot walk their talk because they are clueless and don’t know what to do with CUC, the Retirement Fund  or CHC.

I wonder how they look at themselves in the mirror every morning and tell the mirror everything is OK. If the mirror can speak it’ll probably say, “Look yourself up from the neck up because you’re a big liar.”

Despite this critical situation we’re in now, it’s pretty normal life for these leaders because they have the position, the power, the job, the authority to live in their own fantasy world. They think of no one but themselves and their next agenda to make quick side pocket money for themselves, while people are losing their jobs, while people are fed up with them and people are going hungry every day.

I just want to say that we cannot tolerate this living condition year after year because we are better than this uncertainty. We are supposed to make a difference  and set a good example for our kids. We cannot keep lying to our people and expect our people to believe the same old lies.

Wake up leaders! Be good leaders, stand up and fight for your people.

This is not about politics, this is about our human rights.
