Edward C. Arriola Jr. was arrested on Tuesday, at about 11:30 p.m., at their residence in Fina Sisu.
Yesterday, Superior Court Associate Judge Kenneth L. Govendo set a $5,250 cash bail for Arriola who was represented by attorney Joseph James Norita Camacho.
Variety learned that Assistant Attorney General Shelli Neal and a detective from the Department of Public Safety were to appear for Arriola’s probable cause hearing, but Camacho filed a motion, stating that “no complaint or information has been filed” against his client “as of date.”
Camacho noted today is a holiday, Veterans Day, and that the court will be short-staffed tomorrow, “because it is an austerity day.”
Govendo allowed Arriola to be released to his father Edward Arriola Sr. as third party custodian.
Govendo told Arriola Jr. to not have any contact with his wife and children within 500 feet from their residence, and in his wife’s place of employment, and with his in-laws.
Govendo said Arriola Jr. may travel to Guam but has to attend his court hearing on Saipan.
“[The Department of Public Safety] shall be with [Arriola Jr.] when he moves his personal effects from the Fina Sisu home,” Govendo ordered.
Camacho said his client is considered innocent until proven guilty.
