The Marianas Variety on November 12 published a correction stating that Aubry Hocog was the first student representative from Rota on the Board of Education. Neither statement is true. The first student representative from Rota on the Board of Education was Lynette Atalig Hocog, who was the student representative for the 1991-1992 school year. I know this because I was a teacher at Rota High School then, and Lynette was a student in my Period 1 English IV class.
