PCS gets support from DFS, Bank of Guam

Both DFS Palau and Bank of Guam donated $5,000 each to PCS during separate occasions. Both are Corporate Partners for Conservation (CPC) program of PCS.

There are 17 companies in Palau that join PCS in its programs to protect areas from ridge to reef.

Greg Gordon, General Manager of DFS presented the donation to Keobel Sakuma, Treasurer of the Board of Directors of PCS.

Mathew Cruz, Vice President and Manager of Bank of Guam, Palau Branch, handed over the $5,000 donation to Elbuchel Sadang, Executive Director of Palau Conservation Society.

According to Yalap P. Yalap of PCS, “DFS Palau has supported PCS over several years. The Board of Directors and management of PCS thank DFS Palau, Ltd. and Bank of Guam for their support.”

Incorporated in 1994, PCS is the country’s first local non-profit organization dedicated to the conservation of the nation’s biodiversity and natural resources. PCS has been a leader in conservation of Palau’s environment over the years.

PCS aims to “work with the community to preserve the nation’s unique natural environment and perpetuate its conservation ethic for the economic and social benefit of present and future generations of all Palauans and for the enjoyment and education of all.”
