Russian couple celebrates golden anniversary on Saipan

(Saipan World Resort) — Compared to Russia, with its bitter cold winters, hazed sky and wind chills, Saipan’s tropical weather sand, sun and surf  may seem like heaven. Recently, a Russian couple, married 50 years ago, celebrated their golden anniversary at the Saipan World Resort.

The Kilin’s family on vacation was comprised of a three generations. Valentin Kilin and his wife Zinaida along with his daughter, husband and grandson made the choice to visit the commonwealth.

Originally they thought to go elsewhere as Mrs. Kilin was not so upbeat about the commonwealth, but soon after they arrived, the climate, the hotel’s hospitality and amenities suited her well.

“I was very concerned for my knees, but upon arriving on Saipan and feeling this warm weather, I feel great and younger,” stated Mrs. Zinaida Kilin.

Mr. Kilin, who was also celebrating his 73rd birthday, made waves at the Wave Jungle. Despite his age, he is as active as his grandson.

“Being here and around the many children at the water park brings back my youth. I am enjoying every bit of my vacation especially knowing I can be active with my grandson on the many water park attractions here at Saipan World Resort,” stated Mr. Valentin Kilin.

The couple and their family made a big splash at the wave jungle.

The Saipan World Resort wishes to congratulate the Kilin couple on their 50th wedding anniversary.
