It was Walter Manglona, the center’s program coordinator, who initiated the innovative parlor games and contests.
The event started last week at 10 a.m. with an acknowledgement of the prizes donated by Saipan Republican Reps.

The program lasted for almost four hours as the manamko’ presented their singing and dancing talents.
Everybody enjoyed the program, said Teresita Sorroza, the Saipan Seniors Advisory Council president.
The dining and bingo hall was filled with music and applause as contestants danced to the cha-cha tunes performed by the band led by Jesus Pangelinan.
Jose Torres and his partner Maxie Mereb knew what to do on the dance floor and their graceful cha-cha steps won them first place, ahead of nine other pairs, in the dance competition.
Ana Nakatsukasa and Paula Mary placed second, while Teddy Guiao and Meryalen Conrad got the third prize.
Aging Center Director Rose Mondala congratulated all the participants in the competition.
“The event was very successful and everybody was entertained,” she said.
Manglona said the manamko’ had a great time and enjoyed the games and the prizes.
Maria Salinas won the best in Halloween costume award.
Meryalen Conrad in her werewolf-like attire and Teddy Guiao, who appeared as the “Hunchback of Notre-Dame,” won in the scariest category.
Pedro Dela Cruz bested four other candidates in the funniest category.
The “most original” self-made costume was worn by Ana Nakatsukasa while Mila Garin got an award for having the “most original store-bought costume.”
Maria Salinas and Teresita Sorroz won the awards for the sexiest and most colorful costumes.
