The victim was identified as Anloyd Samwel, 29 years old.
Based on the police report, at around 6:40 in the morning, a certain Liza called the Police office and reported a car that plunged into the water in Echang dock.
The Police immediately responded and lifted up Samwel from the water. The victim was unconscious when he was found inside his submerged car.
Samwel was immediately brought to the hospital. Dr. Glenda Santos, the attending physician, tried to revive the victim. But later on she pronounced him dead.
The case is pending for further investigation.
In other news, police arrested a male juvenile for consumption of alcohol and assaulting police officers.
According to the report on Nov. 11 at around 5:15 in the afternoon, while the police officers were patrolling in the T-dock area, several minors were spotted drinking alcohol. Officers called the Police office and asked for assistance.
Officer Ngirmang then went to the area and arrested Shallom Charles, 20 years old. While the suspect was in the Police office, he did not cooperate with the police officers and tried to assault them.
Police detained Charles in Koror Jail. The charges of minor consumption of alcohol and assaulting police officer s are now being prepared against the suspect.
