Tian Gu Xue, 31, has been described by police as a major “ice” supplier in Papago.
Xue and Bao Hong Yin, 34, were arrested in April and were charged with two counts of trafficking and one count of conspiracy to commit trafficking of “ice.”
Bao Hong Yin was additionally charged with two counts of illegal possession of controlled substance, court records showed.
Superior Court Associate Judge Perry B. Inos sentenced Xue to five years imprisonment all suspended with credit for 20 days served.
Xue was placed on supervised probation for five years. The probation will be terminated upon his departure from the commonwealth.
“It shall be a violation of [Xue’s] suspended sentence if he does not depart the CNMI within 125 days,” Inos said.
Xue was ordered to pay a $200 fine, a $25 court assessment fee, and a probation fee to be determined by the Adult Probation Office.
Inos ordered the release of Xue’s Chinese passport.
Assistant Attorney General Eli D. Golob was the prosecutor while Assistant Public Defender Douglas Hartig represented Xue.
