How to prevent tooth decay in your kid’s mouth

• Tooth decay is actually an infectious disease that you can pass on to others! It is caused by BACTERIA! The bacteria in a mom’s mouth can easily be passed on to the child’s mouth, causing tooth decay!

• Tooth decay can cause some serious infections and diseases if not taken care of.

• Prevention of this disease must start early! — if you are pregnant — make sure you see a dentist before you have your baby, because decay in YOUR mouth = decay in your child’s mouth!

• You should take your child to the dentist when they are ONE YEAR old! Regular dentist visits can help prevent serious pain and illness.

• Baby teeth ARE important — they keep the space for the adult teeth and allow your child to eat and speak properly.
