Team Sonics did in fact grip the lead in the first ten minutes of the game after Bryan Ajoste deposited 7 points to team Sonics and teammate Leo Galarse contributing his 6 points.
However, in the second quarter, team G-Stars got its act together whilst team players Christian De Vero and Jacob Palacios collaring 4 points a piece in the second quarter to tie both teams at 25 points all by half time.
Both teams anticipated the second half; Sonics wanted to keep their clean record and team G-Stars wanted to destroy their clean record.
The G-Stars put their differences aside for one common goal: defeat team Sonics. This motivation pushed the G-Stars to pull 14 points altogether to not only yank the lead from the Sonics, but also to leave them behind by 3 points at the end of third quarter, 39-36.
Eddy Manalili was able to push past the Sonics’ defense 5 times to collar 10 points for the G-Stars whilst teammate Marvin Rabauliman used his height and work his ball handling skills to navigate around the Sonics to grab 10 points as well.
The G-Stars were triumphant in defeating the Sonics to destry their perfect record by 10 strong points by the time the siren rang to seal off the game, 61-51.
