The minor was arrested after Fire officer Maurice Takeo called and reported to the police that several young individuals were holding alcoholic beverages while hanging out at the Best Mart Store, disturbing the area.
Police immediately responded. Upon seeing the police, minors ran away towards Yuhi Motel. However, police officers ran after them and arrested the 18-year-old suspect.
Suspect was brought to the Police office. Police records revealed that suspect appeared to have strong alcoholic breath, and while police inspected the suspect’s belongings they found a half rolled joint of suspected marijuana.
Suspect was then booked and confined at the Koror Jail while the case is pending further investigation.
Meanwhile, another minor was also arrested in Medalaii on Oct. 23 at 3:30 in the morning.
According to police report, a male caller reported to the police that several individuals were fighting at the Akiwo Gas Station in Medalaii and bothering nearby residents.
Police responded in the area and arrested the 17 year-old male who appeared to be drunk.
The suspect was brought to the office and detained at the Koror Jail until he sobered up.He was given citations afterwards.
