Businesses urged to join PSS Career Fair tomorrow

Marianas High School teacher Tyce Mister, in a statement, said the fair will start at 1 p.m. and end at 3:30 p.m.

Businesses can expect students to start arriving at 1:30 p.m., Mister said.

As of yesterday, 29 companies and government agencies had confirmed their participation.

Mister is  encouraging agencies and businesses that  have hired students in the past to have these students by their tables during the Career Fair.

He said tables and chairs will be provided.

The participating students are from Marianas High School, Kagman High School, Saipan Southern High School, Rota High School’s cooperative education and training program and the special education transition program.

Mister also urges businesses to bring banners, business cards, and brochures if available.

He said interviews may begin as early as Sept. 23 and should be completed by Friday next week.

Students will be available for interview after 1:30 p.m. on school days, and they will also provide their own transportation to the business sites.

Mister said businesses have the choice to offer a training position to a student after an interview — or not. They are not also obliged to offer a job position after the students graduate.
