Governor Salvador leads in State election

Based on the Palau Election Commission (PEC) unofficial election results, Salvador has 304 votes over Ngiramolau who got 203 votes.

Meanwhile for the legislator candidates, Abraham Osima is also on top with 75 votes. Followed by Alvina Merur with 53 votes; Kyoko April, 50 votes; Immanuel Maldangesang, 45 votes; Caleb Tekriu, 43 votes; Ngirablau J. Sambal, 30 votes; Aderiano Noah, 22 votes; Dwight Ngirchemat, 22 votes, Hirohito Renguul 21 votes; Ingeang Rimirch, 21 votes; Ellen Kangichi, 17 votes; Richard Ngiratrang, 16 votes; Kenneth West, 14 votes and Dorothy Kuroda with 8 votes.

PEC election officer III Festus Ringang said out of 14 candidates only eight will occupy the legislature seats.

Ngarchelong State has 1,041 registered voters but only 515 have cast their votes. Meanwhile for the absentee voters there were at least 90 have requested to vote but only 45 have submitted their ballots since Tuesday.

According to Ringang the deadline set to receive the absentee ballots returns will be on Sept 7. The PEC then will certify the election results on Sept. 14, fourteen days after the general election.

If Salvador maintains his lead, this will be his third consecutive term as a governor of Ngarchelong State.
