Oktoberfest at the Hyatt

Hyatt Regency food and beverage director Ranjeet Rajebhosale said he was glad of the community’s continuing support, judging from the number of guests who joined the Oktoberfest.

The guests, who came by invitation, enjoyed cold dishes such as Rye crostini with forest ham and pickled cucumber, crepes filled with smoked salmon and chives sour cream, German sausage skewers, sauerkraut and honey mustard, caraway seed and rosemary straw.

The hot selection included fried swai fish  in yellow corn crust, horse raddish remoulade and crispy potato and ham croquette. Guests also enjoyed the Bavarian almond tart and caramel éclair for sweets.

Hyatt Regency executive chef Gabrielle Colombo said diners welcomed the German feast with gusto.

“We would like to invite the community to visit and dine at the Hyatt’s Kili Café & Terrace and partake of the German delights we have prepared for you,” Colombo said.

Quenching the thirst of the guests were cans of cold Becks, the number one selling German beer in the world distributed on Saipan by Marpac.

Hyatt Regency’s in house band entertained the guests throughout the event.

Colombo said they are serving two alternate menus of sumptuous German favorites throughout the weeklong celebration.

Hyatt’s Oktoberfest Specials dinner buffet is available from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. for $38 per person, with special discounts for Club at the Hyatt members.
