Spearheaded by the Glimpses of Saipan and Beach Road Magazine, the 2010 Health and Wellness Fair aims to increase the visibility of health and wellness resources within the community, increase personal health awareness among participants, motivate participants to make positive health behavior changes, provide a variety of health screenings and educational materials, provide participants with preventative care information, screen individuals for certain conditions, and enroll community members into social service programs.
The organizers want visitors to the 2010 Health and Wellness Fair to have an opportunity to get immediate feedback on health issues, sample nutritious foods and drinks, take home free health-related giveaways, and have a chance to hear positive messages from motivated professionals and athletes.
Possible demonstrations and activities in the 2010 Health and Wellness Fair can include but are not limited to CPR and first aid, martial arts, Tai Chi, aerobic dancing, healthy cooking, proper use of exercise equipment, massage therapy, bike safety, self defense, and a chance for participants to have their health questions answered by a doctor or health practitioner.
Welcome to join the health fair are companies and organizations that can help provide services such as information and health screening booths, demonstrations and exhibits, healthy food preparation tips and advice about proper nutrition, diet and exercise, athletes, and sports clubs, as well as organizations that can provide more information on health issues such as stress reduction, vitamins, massage preventive care and other issues that promote healthy living.
