Yet you state in a subsequent paragraph, “The worm in the appointment (in addition to the fly) is that whether the funding [to pay for the credits or refunds] comes from rates charged or from the Legislature, its ultimate source is us; the people; all of us.”
It appears that in your subsequent statement, you agree with me that if CUC loses the lawsuit — then CUC customers or the taxpayers will have to pay for the credits or the refund. Thank you for agreeing. CUC loses, the CUC customer loses, and taxpayer loses. Where is the win in the lawsuit?
Even Stanley Torres and Jack Angello will lose since they will have to pay back credits afforded them on their bill when CUC has to raise rates or the government has to raise taxes to pay for the credits or refund.
WHO WINS IN THIS LAWSUIT?
Then you detail eight areas I should be working on to improve CUC. I really have nine areas — don’t forget the lawsuit.
