BANMI sets things right with Rotary hoops

BANMI President and development officer Elias Rangamar gave the Rotary basketball teams an ultimatum two weeks ago upon seeing that many of the requirements have not been completed, some players and coaches appeared to be not taking the games seriously.

Rangamar also gave them stern warning about the uniform and punctuality in every scheduled games.

In an interview yesterday, Rangamar said the coaches vowed to straighten things up with their respective teams. They agreed that only the players with complete uniform will be allowed to step into the court, and if any team comes short of players with complete uniform the games will be forfeited in favor of their opponents.

Rangamar added that he also reiterated the 15 minutes forfeit time. When no complete players have showed up at the scheduled time, they still have 15 minutes to do so. This policy, he said does not spare the coach, meaning that even if five players with complete uniform show but the coach is not yet around, the games will still be forfeited.

Rangamar noted that despite his being straight forward in addressing his concerns, those who attended the meeting, took the matter seriously.
