Security guards provide helping hands
(MVA) — Security forces deployed by the Marianas Visitors Authority at key remote visitor sites are going above and beyond the call of duty to not only deter crimes and return lost possessions, but to also help prevent unintentional harm and even save lives.
This was the case for Officer Venerando Martin of G4S Security Forces during a recent routine check of the shore at Obyan Beach during heavy seas, when a Japanese diver suddenly began shouting for help, as his fellow divers were stranded and distressed outside the reef line.
Martin immediately put in a call to the Boating Safety Unit for emergency assistance.
