LAST Shot Hobbies Sharks, along with other teams, came out victorious in the opening matches of the Tuesday Division of the SBA Budweiser Open 8-Ball League 2025, held at various locations.

The Sharks narrowly escaped with a 7-6 win over Black 8 Ideal Signs Rustlers.

Both teams started the night evenly matched. The Sharks’ Brian Nelvis and PJ Ramos opened the Singles 8-Ball set with back-to-back wins, but the Rustlers’ Chester and Charold Hamoy answered with two wins of their own, splitting the set at 2-2.

After another 1-1 split in the following Partners 8-Ball set, the Sharks began to pull ahead during the second Singles 8-Ball set, with Nelvis, Drake Taitano, and Frankie Blas winning three of four games to take a 6-4 lead.

The Rustlers weren’t done yet. They rallied in the next Partners 8-Ball set, with Roman Rodriguez and Chester Hamoy, along with Rowel “Cobra” Mariano and Jerry Tiu, securing a two-win sweep to tie the score at 6-6.

But in the deciding third Partners 8-Ball set, the Sharks’ duo of Blas and Nelvis clinched the final win, sealing the match at 7-6.

Winners, too

Joining the winner’s circle were Black 8 Noypi Strikers, who edged Black 8 Crooked Arrow, 7-6, and Last Shot Golden Breakers, who defeated Black 8 Rack N Roll, 9-7.
